Research Interests
Jianguo Liu's research interests include conservation ecology,
landscape ecology, human-environment interactions, systems
modeling and simulation, and impacts of human population and
activity on spatio-temporal dynamics of endangered species
such as the giant panda in China. He is keenly interested in
integrating ecology with socioeconomics as well as human
demography and behavior for understanding and managing
patterns and processes of biodiversity and natural
resources/ecosystem services across multiple temporal and
spatial scales.
