experience in science and management regarding biological
conservation related to genetics, biological diversity, and
ecosystems.
Contributions:
Established
numerous research projects, including genetic study of plant
and microbe interactions for phosphorus uptake, nitrogen
fixation of woody plants in ecosystems, genetic studies of
reproduction mechanisms for species conservation in wetland
and terrestrial ecosystems, restoration and multispecies
conservation in both shallow water and watershed ecosystems
for science and management; Obtained funding and awards for
many projects, including NSF and international scholarships;
Presented research data at many international meetings as well
as universities in China; Published many peer-reviewed papers
over a broad range of topics in biology; Taught basic and
advanced college level biology classes, including biological
diversity and ecology.
