Opportunities
for Graduate Students in Ecosystems and Biogeochemical Dynamics
|
Posted 8/31/2006
The Ecosystems and Biogeochemical Dynamics Laboratory (EBDL) at Purdue
University is seeking two graduate students starting Spring, 2007, who
are interested in (1) modeling grand elemental cycles (e.g., C and N)
and multiple gas exchanges (e.g., CO2, CH4, and N2O) between the
atmosphere and the biosphere with focus on agricultural ecosystems at
various scales and/or (2) modeling complex water and carbon dynamics
considering climatic changes, fire disturbances, and permafrost
dynamics in high northern latitudes. Students with proficient
mathematical and computational skills and interests in pursuing PhD
programs are preferred. The students will have the opportunity to
interact with highly diversified faculty members and scientists in
Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and Department of
Agronomy as well as the Purdue Climate Change Research Center.
Interested students are welcomed to contact Prof. Qianlai Zhuang at
